I had episodes 1-3 previously installed and playable, but was unable to download the episode 4 patch, so I started from scratch and downloaded the 1-4 large installer. Decided to play through all the episodes again before I started ep.4, but it crashed 3 times on ep.1 while in the castle. Finally seems to be stable now, only now there is no speech. Occasionally I will hear some speech, but most of the time when I do, the speech breaks up and is verry erradic. I had to turn on text just so I could know what was being said at least. Also just noticed issues with sound effects and music. I'm hearing sound effects such as Graham walking, but when I made it to the crossroads, I got no sound when the lightning struck the tree. No rain sound.  Heard Sing-Sing though lol. Also hear the bell at Ali's. And so far on my 4th try, I've heard no music durning gameplay.

Can you post some more information on your computer, like what Operating System you're using, how much RAM you have, what video card you have and how much dedicated video memory it has?  Thanks!

Ok this is weird.... for some reason, I only had these problems on episode 1. BUT, a different problem arose. If you wat me to post this in a new thread I'll be happy but I'll leave it here for now. After I finished ep.1 with no speech, sound fx, or music throughout 95 percent of the episode, it froze after telling me I had completed episode one and I tried to return to the main menu. Tried to return to my saved game right before the ending, and same results. Thus I was unable to continue to ep. 2 from ep. 1, rather had to begin ep.2. Same thing when I completed ep.2. After the credits, tells me I have finished ep.2, but when I try to return to menu, freezes. Tried restoring to right before the end and try again with the same results. So I cant continue from ep.2 to 3, had to begin ep.3. Of course doing this, leaves me without my suffer and my spray bottle. so I begin ep. 3 with no option to continue from 2, make it to the very end when the blacksmith gives me my item, scroll comes up, marks out item, scrawls the picture, and Graham proceeds to run to the right back toward Ali's and the pawn shop. However he doesn't make it far because it always freezes. I've been running on lowest possible settings and still same result. Flash and shockwave are up to date, did it before i began playing.

tsl.exe has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available

In the game's graphics options what resolution are you currently playing at?

I was playing in windowed mode at 1024x600 with all efects boxes unchecked. I tried 800x600 but it didn't help. I also clicked the advanced button under graphics and followed the instructions for the graphics card. Still get the tsl.exe has stopped working message. I had pretty much the same problem with when ep.3 had first came out, but it was simply fixed by updating flash and shockwave, but i am up to date and not sure what else to try.

Some people have had luck installing the game to a directory other than the Program Files default, try uninstalling it and reinstalling it to just C:\TSL before starting Episode 4 and see if that has any impact on performance.

Yeah I read that before I installed the full build. That's where I installed it from the start.

And you have all the most current audio and video drivers from your computer manufacturer?

As far as I've been able to tell. No updates on AMD, Realtek, or Toshiba's pages.

I have seen a sporadic issue where sometimes most of the sound does not play. A lot of times, it was when I ran the game again after it crashed. A couple of things you can try:
1) If there is no sound in the main menu when you start up, try quitting and running again - it might help.
2) Try restarting your computer and then running the game.

One other thing - see if updating Flash makes any difference.

Also, I think continuing from one episode to the next has been disabled.

Theres nothing wrong with my Speakers or Sound, i play my other Games and they can go Very Loud, but Ep4 has Sound Issues.

My sound issues seemed to be resolved after episode 1. My major problems now are 1) My games crash after completing ep1 and ep2, when it asks me if i want to return to the main menu, it crashes, therefore I am incapable of continuing on to the next episode from the last. I have to start fresh, losing some of my items such as the suffer and spray bottle from ep.2. The main hurdle I face now is at the end of ep.3, when I leave the exit the scroll and attempt to leave the blacksmith, I crash and recieve the tsl.exe has stopped working error message. I had this problem when ep.3 was released but was able to fix the problem by updating flash and shockwave. I am up to date with flash and shockwave and and still crashing constantly at the same place. Playing in windowed mode, lowest resolution, all the efects boxes unchecked, all my drivers seem to be up to date. Here is where I had the problem before. It seems to be exactly like the problem I'm having now, only now I'm unable to move forward.

Well you are right at the absolute end of episode 3 so it's safe to just start episode 4 and play through that.
