The What Are You Doing Thread #8

Not really liking the new layout all that much. All that stuff at the top (the logo, my avatar, the messages I have enc) are all either covered up by the season pass advertisement or squished by the ad.

At least that's what it looks like on my phone. And I miss the old color scheme that matched the rest of the site. Too sharp a contrast for me personally, although from what I've heard about the old site, it did look similar to this and seeing as it's your tenth anniversary of getting started, I can see why you'd want to give a little call-back to your early years.

However, I would like an option that some other forums have where you can change the layout to different styles and themes or at least switch back to the old one if I want to.

- Not sure about the new layout either, but since the old one was such a change from what I was used to I will probably get used to this change as well.

Yep, we're still transitioning for now. It look much better once the IT people are done with it. We have some cool new things planned for you all!

What about the color scheme? I still think it's weird that we have the actual website with darker colors like black and grey, but the forums are white and light blue.

Also, there's no more rank colors in our names!

- needs a new screen protector thingie for iPhone. The one I've had since I got the phone isn't very clean (or that could be the phone itself) and when I took it off and put it back on again, I had even more air bubbles on it than last time!

- Just realized something slightly horrifying about my QFG fanfic. Look at this paragraph:

Seeing his chance, Marcus struck Shamgar horizontally across, slicing the Saurus’ throat! The Saurus tried to manage a roar, but all that came was a gurgle and blood seeping from its mouth. Before the spark in its eyes died out completely, it managed to slice at Marcus, cutting him again deeper in the stomach, and then collapsed on the ground dead.

I'm not a biologist of any sort, and I might be getting this completely wrong, but... wouldn't the claws slicing there imply that he's been disemboweled?!

Of course, I could be wrong and this would cease to be horrifying and just go back just generally "Ow."
