The 80's are back!

I have decided to branch out from my endless talk about computers into another area.  It is quite something to see OP (Ocean Pacific) has become popular again in the U.S.  Care Bears and Atari as a controller which hooks up to your television to play old games are also back.  Transformers have shown up at local stores.  Everyone loves the 80's and the music is being played more frequently.  One of my favorite cartoons when I was little was Thundercats.  Feel free to relive the 80's in this thread.  :> LOL

Dew, you made an awesomely perfect post, because now I have a good place to post this.

I was checking out a new gaming store today (well, new to me, anyway), and on display, they had an INTELLIVISION! Like, sitting on the top shelf, in a cool plastic display case, with a bunch of Intellivision games set in a nice row on the side. It was totally GEEK COOL! (I know, that's probably an oxymoron, but I don't care.)

(OK, there's way more I love about the 80s that I'll post later, but I just had to get that out.)

I still have Teddy Ruxpin cartoon episodes on tape... in fact, I have a transcript website for the series.

Don't forget Jem, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Care Bears, and Rainbow Brite, and all the Disney stuff... Chip N' Dale Rescue Rangers, Tale Spin, Darkwing Duck, Gummi Bears, Duck Tales... and there was Voltron, and C.O.P.S., and "Real Ghostbusters" (I think that was 80's... I get 80s and early 90s cartoons mixed up sometimes. Like Captain N and Captain Planet... were those early 90s?) ...

Anybody else watch and like the Thundercats cartoons?
Also, Voltron was really cool.  I remember my friend's older brother had an original metal Voltron and it was really cool.  Nowadays, I think that transformers and other robots are all plastic and not metal.  I like the feel of metal in things and I think this is a great loss for our children.  I am sure it is much cheaper and the manufacturers make more money.  Unfortunately, sometimes it all comes down to the bottom line which is profit in this day and age --- at least here in the U.S.
