They mentioned in another thread (I can't go looking for it right now) that there's been some major stuff happening like some restructuring and such, so the monthly update's postponed until things settle down again. That's the gist of it, anyway.

That I can understand, but why does it take a month and a half to announce the winners of a bear contest. Does it really take that long to vote on the names? If so, this game is NEVER going to come out, because I am sure there are thousands of more important decisions to make. And please don't feel like you have to wait until the next monthly update to post the results. We all want them now.

Well, for one, they likely want to make sure they use the best names out of the bunch. For two, there's a lot of stuff to do other than the contest, that's likely more important. Especially since the directors doing the voting are the team members least likely to have free time to kill. There likely *are* lots of more important decisions to make, and they're likely concentrating on those first. Relax, seeing as how we won't get to see the winning names until the game comes out anyway, no need to get impatient.

Plus, truth be told, we're kind of spoiled with KQ9's regular updates... many fangames release just a simple status report every few months, if you're lucky.
