There will be in kq9 situations where you cant go on in the game? this was one of the most annoying things from sierra games :-/
That makes the game less enjoyable cos you have to get help from walkthroughs and its not the same as playing it by yourself.
i enjoyed a lot kq7 (excluding the childish look) because of this, there werent dead-ends.

Hmm..I don't think so. Obviously, times when you might come upon one puzzle that you can't solve yet because you've yet to do another thing, but I don't think I've written any dead-ends in my parts.

Welcome Kobold!

I know what you mean, I really hate dead-ends too!  I hope those don't exist in the game.  I want to try to complete it without the help of any walkthrough! ;D

A puzzle you can't solve is not a dead end, it's just an unsolvable puzzle. A real dead-end is a situation in which you have to have an item you can't obtain anymore. That's a dead end. 8)

no dead ends in KQ9

I hate those.

Even mild ones like going into the catacomb in KQ6 without the brick or something. Don't even mention those in KQ5. agh.

I don't mind death ends, those are easy to avoid cuz you only need to reload from a few minutes before. It's just those things, yeah, with being stuck in something and not being able to go on that really annoy me. A few times I've played certain games, I think I tried following a walkthrough to the letter for one, but the item I would need is obtained in the very beginning of the game. (Zak McKracken was horrible in that respect, yet fun if you do everything right). Maybe if there were something that prevented the plot from moving forward unless you had everything necessary.

Yeah Copycat i was talking about That kind of dead-ends, those are situations where you cant go on any longer cos you get killed or you havent got an object to solve an specific puzzle (you can only get that object in a previous part of the game)

Lol, I remember a friend telling me that he got REALLY far in Toonstruck (yes, I'm brining THAT game up), and he couldn't go any further cos he needed the ear of corn, and he hadn't got it before the meadow was malevolated.

TS players will know what I mean XD  As long as that don't happen, I'm fine XD;

The only dead end I ever came across was in Phantasy Star 2, I had used the only stick of dynamite that would give me access to a lab.
