Can't close the close-up of the coffin
« on: September 20, 2013, 09:43:24 AM »
Hey all,

I figured out how to open the coffin, and I've picked up everything inside (and watched the four synergy clips), I also did the first part of the table puzzle, with the buttons. Only now, I can't seem to close the close-up view of the coffin to return to the table so I can place the final pieces. What am I missing?

Could you email a save from right before this happens to me via Weldon@postudios.com? We had a couple of reviewers run into this same thing as well and we haven't been able to replicate it. Possibly doing synergy on items while the closeup is visible is throwing that off, I think I've always just picked up every item in there first and let it close before I do anything else in the basement.

Never mind, I tried reloading the game, and this time the coffin closed automatically as soon as I picked everything up. The only difference was that before I had picked up and placed some of the statuettes from the table before opening the sarcophagus, and this time I didn't. Maybe a glitch?

Anyway, I should be able to figure things out from here.

I'll see if I can reproduce the glitch later, and if I can, then I'll mail you that save, Weldon.

I think I've figured out the trick to my glitch.

If you pick up the figurines from the center table first and place some of them back on the table, and then open the coffin, the only items inside are the items that you can use your synergy on. However, if you open the coffin first, there's the synergy items as well as two more figurines that you will need.

In the first example, the coffin won't close because you haven't picked up all the items yet (which is not surprising, since the two figurines are not there.) The coffin close-up will only close when you've taken everything from it.

If you still want that savegame, Weldon, can you tell me the default location where the savegames are stored, and what they are called, because I can't seem to find them.

Thanks a ton, this information should be sufficient to help my squash this bug.
