Other Forums and Communities
« on: March 26, 2014, 08:15:14 AM »
Is AGDInteractive Dead, i know the Forum is still there and you can still Download the VGA Games, but has the Community died there.
http://www.agdinteractive.com/forum/index.php

If i want to Buy the Classic Games or listen to the Soundtracks, where do i go.

Its a shame about the Forum on Infamous Adventures, the Site is still up, but the Games are still there for Download
http://www.infamous-adventures.com/home/

What other Sites are there like those and The Pheonix Online

Will you guys still be interested in more KQ Memories when i make New ones.
http://www.postudios.com/blog/forum/index.php?topic=8807.0

Is there a Website of Ken Williams and the Coles, what about the Guys who made Space Quest and the Guy who made Leisure Suit Larry.

Wheres that Website where People make their own VGA Games.

You could try the Himalaya Studios site, though it looks like the forums there aren't very active, either.

GOG has a lot of them.

I would guess a lot of the same people are on the Infamous Quests forums

Are you asking for sites from the official creators or do fansites interest you too?

I *would* be recommending Quest For More Glory Forums to you, but... I and Orion have decided to leave that site because somebody was being hostile to us both. Any of you go to the Facebook group, you'll know who I'm talking about.

Sadly, Sierra Chest doesn't have a forum. :( But, they DO have a group on Facebook and a Chat on the site!

Just Fan Sites please and not Facebook Links, thanks.

Thats rude of them, guess they arent a friendly bunch then.

I made a New KQ Memory Screen, it seems no one cares, should i make more and its Clear AGDI is Dead witch is sad.

Where else can i Post my KQ Screens, i did Post at the Telltale Games Forum, but they seem Dead aswell.

...or the site simply doesn't have a forum for any number of other reasons. I don't really know how you came to the conclusion that if a site doesn't include a forum then everybody involved must be elitists.

I assumed he was referring to the hostility on the Quest For More Glory forums / FB. Speaking of which, GrahamRocks, did you contact the forum administration? Elsa for one doesn't seem like someone who would tolerate that sort of behavior.

...No. YOU'RE KIDDING! :( I had a post all typed up and ready to go, that I've been working on the past couple hours, then my phone blips and I lose all I just typed?! ARGH! I just gave a big explanation for all this, and then it's gone!!! AUGH! I'm gonna go play QFG. I'll type it AGAIN afterwards.

I'm only posting this because GrahamRocks asked me to, since she lost all she had typed up.

I assumed he was referring to the hostility on the Quest For More Glory forums / FB. Speaking of which, GrahamRocks, did you contact the forum administration? Elsa for one doesn't seem like someone who would tolerate that sort of behavior.

See, snabbott, the problem is that Elsa was the source of the behavior.  She's changed a lot in the past year.  She and I use to be really good friends - we spoke every day - and then when GrahamRocks and I started talking soon after she joined the forums, Elsa started getting all... irate with me - almost like a jealous girlfriend would.  It doesn't help that she found a stronger footing in religion, and while I may not be the most religious person out there, I do think that it does a lot of good for people - but with her, it made her blind to her own faults.  She started degrading me on the forums and Facebook groups, and, worst of all, started telling people I was altering things on the forums, to the point of deleting her as admin - all because I had another friend I was talking to, and because I disagreed with her on something based on religion (even after I told her to drop the subject.)

She started treating the forums less like a fun place to post QFG related stuff, and more of a "Well, if I don't like it, it doesn't deserve to be on here, no matter how much it relates to QFG".  I almost want say she went from being a friendly, carefree admin to almost trying to treat the QFMG forums (and Facebook group) as her own little fascist community.

For example: GrahamRocks started playing QFG1, and is only playing one game day per real day, and journalizing it, and started posting it.  Even Corey Cole loved the idea!  And then suddenly, day two of her posting, and Elsa flipped.  Called it spamming, and not worth posting, and that it didn't belong on a QFG community - all because she didn't like it.  (Again, jealousy, I think, that somebody other than her got recognition for something.  Elsa's not been secretive of her hatred for reading things, and she didn't even read the post before bashing it.)  But seriously - on day TWO she threatened to ban GrahamRocks from the group for spammingOn. Day.  Two.  Of posting something QFG related.  (Which I'll enforce is something even one of the creators of the series liked!)

Elsa's gone as far as calling GrahamRocks my girlfriend (which was news to both of us) as a derogatory way of saying why I was defending her (GR) from Elsa's volatility.  She's also accused me of breaking up her engagement with her long-distance fiance whom she's never physically met...

So yeah, long story short:  It's hard to go to the admin about hostilities on the forums when the admin is the source of the hostility.

But to hear Elsa's side of it, I'm manipulating everyone against her... :( I honestly miss having my old friend, but I swear she's been replaced with a replicant.

Ummm... wow.  :-\ I'm really sorry to hear that. I don't really know Elsa, but I wouldn't have expected that from her. Clearly, neither did you. The behavior you describe is really inexcusable. >:(

Are you certain that person has changed?   Maybe it is you who have changed.

Another pretty active Sierra forum that wasn't mentioned here is the Virtual Broomcloset, the forums for SpaceQuest.Net.

Great forums and awesome people!

Talk to you later!
