'Fraid to say, you probably could, if you ventured into my house. I'm guessing she'll start stroking against someone's leg(s) as soon as she hears someone's there. However, we can't have that sort of behavior, kidnapping so:

Whilst driving in the limo, the driver made a call to the person waiting for me at the hotel informing him I was on my way.

This is the hotel I was staying at. However, since I was arriving when it was dark, I couldn't see it at the time. This picture was taken shortly before I left again. As I was nearing the hotel, I could see many lights, and it was beautiful, however, since I didn't have a camera with me at that time, I couldn't take a picture.  :-\

This is the main entrance of the hotel.

I was greeted by this man on the right. We went to the front desk, there was a bit of an issue about the credit card, but finally they understood the credit card that was used to reserve the room (not my own) would suffice. The guide told me there were 2 other investors there, Swedes, and they were going to watch a comedy show in a short time. He asked if I wanted to come, and of course I said yes. After all, it was all on him. After refreshing myself quickly in my room, I went to the place he said he'd wait for me and we went to the comedy club. Apart from the 2 Swedes (a couple) there was another employee from the company with his date. I had made a photo of the Swedish couple, but unfortunately, my disposable camera failed on that one. I am trying to obtain another photograph of them, but to date, with little success. The stand-up comedians that were performing in there that night, were okay, but nothing more.

On the next day, our guide had planned a visit to the company, which after all, was the main reason we were there (both the Swedish couple and I were investors in the company).

In the front is the car in which the guide rode us around.

And this is the company, Scorpion Performance.

On a totally unrelated note,

here's me with a 3-week beard (yes, my facial hair grows slow).

Actually I noticed it looks more on that photograph than it actually is. There's a shadow which makes it look longer than it is.

I was shown around the company by the man that's interviewed when you follow this link.
Unfortunately, Investor Relations is in another location so I can't meet the guy who calls me on the phone at regular intervals to keep me up to date on the company's doings. Before we leave (the company) we get envelopes containing the money to reimburse our plane tickets. After the tour we go to a restaurant, where the other guy from the company, the one we met at the comedy club the day before, joins us, but without his date this time. I'm going to buy a disposable camera when I get back in the hotel later that day. The next day, if the weather is good, we'll visit the Everglades. If not, we were going to visit a big shopping center. Luckily the weather was good. ;)

Water lily?

Mangroves?

We're sitting at the front of the air boat, and the 'driver' warned us we'd get wet. He did his very best, taking his corners so we'd definitely get soaking wet. Once we were, he took his turns a lot smoother, so he was doing it on purpose. At least being in the front of the boat enabled us to take pictures like these ones:

I think there were two, unfortunately, I think they might have been too far apart to get them in one shot.
Oops, I forgot, I also got some presents when I left the company:

Unfortunately, the t-shirts are both 'Large', and I'm not exactly that fat/wide...The cap I wore, since I forgot to bring my usual one.

I have succeeded in procuring a picture of the Swedish couple, be it on some type of wishing card, and it's been 'fingered' with. By their request I will not divulge their names, and no, you won't be able to see it via the name of the file either:

The wife had the best accent, I don't think if you heard her talking English you could hear it was not her mother tongue. However, she didn't know much English, so the male Swede did most of the talking. Whenever the Swedes were talking amongst themselves, I couldn't understand a single word.

One of the other pictures that failed on my disposable camera was the one I took of another airboat. However, included in the message from the Swedish couple was this picture:

That's the type of airboat we were 'riding'.

Moving on, you can see a certain individual wrestling an alligator...

After we went on the airboat, we also went on a safari truck. Due to the default widescreen feature of my disposable camera the pictures I took of certain animals showed the animal far too little to be of any use.

The last two days I spent reading and/or watching tv/listening to the radio in my room since the Swedish couple was going to rent a car to drive to some relatives, and our guide SMS-ed me he had a meeting, wouldn't be able to organize any more activities the third day but would contact me again on the fourth day. Did he contact me on the fourth day? Hell no! In fact, I never saw him again onwards from the third morning, where we exchanged cell phone numbers, I've got the one from the male Swede too. If I had known the guide hadn't planned anything for me the last two days, either I could have gotten home sooner, or I could have rented a car myself and visited some TSL members, if they were up for it. A nice touch, every morning there was that day's paper on your doorstep.

On the final day, the limo driver was only a bit late and luckily he had been told by our guide to come to the hotel several hours in advance so that was no problem. I had put on warmer clothes to compensate for the weather at my final destination, Brussels, so I sat near a small water fountain to get some 'freshness' at the hotel. The limo itself had air-conditioning of course. We arrived at Ft Lauderdale airport, someone asked if I wanted to check in outside, but apparently, that wasn't possible for international flights. Inside someone (from Continental) showed me how to check-in electronically. On the flight to the US, I had to check in my luggage again in Newark, on these flights that was not needed. There was some hold-up at Newark airport, there was a long line of air planes waiting to take off, we heard after we departed from the gate. We were number 15 in the line. At one time, some passengers left their seats, even though the 'fasten seatbelt' sign was still on, and apparently, when that happens a plane is not allowed to move anywhere. The captain ordered said persons to get into their seats asap or we would lose our 'place' in the line. Luckily, we were able to keep our place. Of course, with all that waiting, the arrival time kept getting later too, on the flight information channel. That's all we can see while taxiing anyway.Using your cell phone isn't allowed unless the cabin door is open, so there is no way I can warn those coming to pick me up at the airport I'll be an hour late. Sure, I could use the phone on board, but I wouldn't know how that works, and it would probably cost a lot too, so I'm not going there. My 'visa' was torn out of my passport before I embarked in Newark, some time before we had to get on the plane, even though it was still valid. Also, unfortunately, I was unable to recline the back of my seat to its maximum, since there was a wall behind me. That, and the fact there was a lot of turbulence during the flight, prevented me from sleeping even the slightest, and it was a night flight...
The flight information at the end of the flight said we needed some paper to get into the Shengen zone, however, if that had been the case, I would have gotten them in Fort Lauderdale, since I got the papers to get into the US in Brussels. The information did say which signs I needed to follow in Brussels airport so I did that. There's a separate line for EU-inhabitants in Brussels airport and the officer behind the desk only takes a short look at your passport, and that's it. The immigration officer for the US was completely silent, sent me back the first time because I had forgotten to fill some lines on one of the documents, and took my fingerprints.

I couldn't get used to the bed in the hotel, so I was probably looking at some sort of sleep deprivation before I left, and didn't get a chance to sleep on the plane, resulting in a huge desire to go to sleep when I arrived home. However, to counter the jetlag I have to say up until the evening. My mom is in my house making sure I don't fall asleep but apparently she falls asleep first. Not that I did sleep, mind you. However, due to that enormous sleep deprivation, I contracted a nasty cold bug, and I think something extra too. Yes, my health relies heavily on the amount of sleep I get.
Thus concludes my holiday information.

New kittycat pic!

The flash seems to have been highlighting her eyes pretty well. :D

You see a part of the kitty plaid I got for my birthday too, which means, time for birthday present-pics!

The kittycat cell phone holder, with my cell phone in it.

The kittycat birthday card.

The complete kittycat fleece plaid.

The solar powered, radio-controlled watch, digital. I have no idea where it stores the antenna to pick up the signal, but it's got one. The solar cells are located in the black rectangle.
