Awesome, then I did say it right! XD

Hmm... how do you say "the truth" in Latin?

Quote from: Yonkey
I don't think you're understanding me, so I'll rephrase it better.

Please translate (to the best of your ability) this phrase in Latin: "The truth shall set you free".

I don't care which conjugation, verb tense and grammar you pick, as long as you feel it is correct. :)
You never actually said why you wanted to know what "the truth" in Latin was... which was why it was difficult to give an answer...

anyways...

Thanks Delling! :)

There's a reason why I never said why. ;P The reason was because I wanted to update my profile. 8)

Taking from my earlier translation of Ionki for Yonkey (I'd have to do some etymology research... for Neil which I think is Gaelic which this: "Neil Look up Neil at Dictionary.com
surname and masc. proper name, from Gael./O.Ir. Niall "champion." Picked up by the Vikings in Ireland (as Njall), brought by them to Iceland and Norway, thence to France, introduced in England at the Conquest. Incorrectly Latinized as Nigellus on mistaken association with niger "black," hence Nigel"
... seems to confirm...)

Ionki, sorbes. = Yonkey, you suck.
~OR~
Nigelle, sorbes. =Neil, you suck.

But I'm still thankful for my own thread and thus Yonkey is  8) w/ me still though I might not be with him after he reads this.

Interesting, so I'm both white and black?  I guess that makes me grey then... or silver. ;)

And, I just saw this etymology at BehindTheName.com:

"From the Gaelic name Niall, which is of disputed origin, possibly meaning "champion" or "cloud". This was the name of a semi-legendary 4th-century Irish king. A famous modern bearer of this name was American astronaut Neil Armstrong, the first person to walk on the moon."

Interesting... 8)
"A wish changes nothing. A decision changes everything."

I knewe some Latin... for four months when I wereth 12 years old. ;D ;P

On behind the name:
QuoteBOB
Gender: Masculine
Usage: English, Dutch
Pronounced: BAHB   [key]
Medieval short form of ROBERT.

QuoteROBERT
Means "bright fame", derived from the Germanic elements hrod "fame" and beraht "bright". The Normans introduced this name to Britain. It belonged to three kings of Scotland, including Robert the Bruce who restored the independence of Scotland from England in the 14th century. The author Robert Browning and poets Robert Burns and Robert Frost are famous literary bearers of this name. Also, Robert E. Lee was the commander of the Confederate army during the American Civil War.

It means you get to wear the thing at the bottom of this post. :P In addition to that, it's an order of chivalry.
