Possible end to KQ9...speak your mind

I think it depends mostly on the character development within the game.  A character death has to serve a purpose, and Valanice is simply far too two-dimensional as she is right now.  Graham's death, on the other hand, would speak volumes because he is so iconic.  The twins still have so much to live for that it would just suck if one of them died.

Perhaps Graham and Valanice together . . . hmm, and the kingdom is passed to Connor as Graham's dying wish (and no matter how much you hate Connor, this is the most nostalgic turn possible as it brings the series full circle).

Or . . . Valanice dies, and Graham passes the kingdom to Connor, then sweeps up his old adventurer's cap and sets off on one final adventure, into the sunset, an adventure at which end he and we know he will be reunited with his dear wife in whatever concept of the afterlife is used in KQIX.

Yeah, so that's terribly depressing and cliche, I suppose--but I'm a hopeless romantic and it just seems so appropriate for a King's Quest.  You know, even the cloud of death has a silver lining . . .

My guess is Shadrack and maybe the rest of the Wizards in Black will be destroyed... BUT... at... what... cost??

DEFINITELY something with fire. Perhaps in the final attempt to destroy alll evil Castle Daventry must be destroyed as well. But DEFINITELY a climactic ending....

(after the castle a crumbled in a fire mass sealing the fate of the villain(s)

VALANICE: (crying) Oh no Oh no.....
ROSELLA: (consoling) There there mother... at least Daventry shall remain safe....
ALEXANDER: Is everyone okay?
GRAHAM: At least we're still a family......
FADE TO BLACK



or instead of fading to black....

CEDRIC: Sir Graham! Crispin is coming! Crispin is coming! hoOOOOO!!!
GRAHAM: Crispin? That's great!
CRISPIN: Shameer Shamazzle I believe I'll need your help.
SHAMEER SHAMAZZLE: Only ifI can (hiccup) get a mint!
CRISPIN: Ahhh.... I suppose.
(Crispin waves his wand and the castle goes back to normal, in a rewindish kind of way)
Credits Fade In while in the backround it shows the scorched and ruined Daventry being renewed.....
