Aww, thank you. In truth, it's much, much better than it was last June before my second operation, so I'm only in agony whenever I am late with my medication or I go off it every three months.

I hope they can find a way to stop it for good, though. Infrequent, scream-inducing agony is still scream-inducing agony.

Fortunately, I have an amazing boyfriend who manages to cheer me up even when I'm in agony.

Did you mention what the cause was? I don't remember. (Or was it something you'd rather not share?)

After a year in and out of hospitals, no fewer than six separate diagnoses and two operations, we have concluded that it is probably an adverse reaction to the Gardasil vaccine. As long as I stay on the pill I shouldn't have any more cysts or pain, the problem being that if I start begging my mother for cyanide if I'm even an hour or two late in taking it or whenever I go off it (which is once every three months).

Ohhh - ovarian cycst can be nasty. My sister has had issues with them for years. I do hope they can figure something out.

Well, cysts are the worst of it, but not really the only symptom. Still, I'm much better than I was a few months ago.

In more good news, I no longer have to get married to wear shiny hair ornaments (and thus have a fulfilling and happy life ).

Have they repealed the tiara law? (Not that it was technically a law.) Or is this an alternative source of headgear?

No, but there are other kinds of shiny headgear which have no such silly rules.
