Downloading is too slow on your site.  You should consider adding mirrors.
I have over a T2 of speed and downloading your 768megs Episodes 2 takes 2.50 hours

We do actually have about a dozen mirrors up and running right now, we did just release this episode yesterday so some of those mirrors will still be running a bit slower than they might normally.  You're welcome to cancel that download and try again to see if you connect to a faster mirror.

What exactly does that mean, "mirrors?"  And do you have to go to another site to get to them?  (Wow, what a n00b question. )

A mirror is a website that hosts the installer file. You don't actually download the file from postudios.com, it comes from one of many mirrors, selected at random.

You, the end-user, don't have to worry about mirrors. When you click the "download" button on postudios.com, the site will forward you to a mirror to download.

What's your problem with the download, anyway?

Every time I tried to install the game, it said something about the file being corrupt.   What does that mean?  (I'm a huge KQ fan, but I know next to nothing about technical issues. )

Delete any partially downloaded files you may have from the failed downloads.

But for future reference, how do I find them?   (Forgive me, boys!  I'm embarrassed at my lack of knowledge.)

If you're only having trouble downloading Episode 2, and you ran Episode 1 fine (which I think is the case), then your specs are probably fine, and so we don't need them just yet.

The problem seems to be getting the file in the first place. That shouldn't have anything to do with your specs.

Okay, good.  I would have no idea how to find them.

I uninstalled Episode 1 just in case, but you're right, I had no problems running Episode 1.

No speed issues on this download. Just couldn't get to the download at all. Some sort of wordpress login issue. Kept going around and around in circles. I would start from various pages and end up on a path that always ended up at:
http://www.postudios.com/blog/?page_id=4&category=1
Someone else mentioned the same problem in the Episode II announcement thread, they got a reply, but it was just a link to the above page. Every time I went to that page, I just got:

Then I would sign in and go through the whole process all over again. I reset my password about five times (and discovered that only the temporary password would work, if I changed the password on the profile page that came up, that new password would not work). Finally, for some unknown reason, I finally got the page to come up, but frankly, I have no idea what I did, or if it was even from anything I did or if it's just some bizarre behavior from the server from being overloaded or something.

In any case, I thought I should report it in case it's happening to lots of people and is something that needs to be taken care of. I'm using Firefox 3.6.8 on Ubuntu 9.10 64 bit in case that's relevant. Useragent string is:
Mozilla/5.0 (X11; U; Linux x86_64; en-US; rv:1.9.2. Gecko/20100723 Ubuntu/9.10 (karmic) Firefox/3.6.8
