I'm currently opearting a Toshiba Notebook with a AMD Athlon x2 Dual-Core QL-60 1.90 GHz processor, and I am currently using Vista.

The game itself is running pretty fine with lowest settings in play (So far. I'm aboot to exit the castle for the first time) . The only problem is the dialogue does not work. It either comes in little blips or not at all. I've got enviromental sounds (walking...door opening). music during the cut scenes and title menu but that's about it  ??? I can play it with subtitles, but I think it be much more fun if I could expierence the voice acting as well.

Haha!

It's pretty funny because first time I tried playing Kings Quest: Mask of Eternity back in the day I had a similar issue.  :suffer:

Check Toshiba's website and see if they have any newer drivers for your computer for either video or sound, see if that helps at all.

It helped for Episode 1 sound worked fine. Now episode 2 seems to be having issues. I'm going to restart my computer and let it rest for a bit as perhaps running episode 1 took it's toll and she just perhaps needs to cool off.

Although I'm doubtful it'll work.

C'mon Claire (My computer's name) ole baby! I'll download you one of those new wallpapers all the other computers are talking about if ya just work for me... :P

Can you post some information about what type of computer you have, what Operating System you use, how much RAM and video memory it has, etc.?

Having the same issue here. I can listen to the wind and the ocean just fine, but no dialogue.
Sad face.
