DUDE, THE TRAILER IS AWESOME.  "well, I'd still hit it". FANTASTIC. This will be a smash hit, give the younger generation a dose of what we had with duke 3d.  a DEFINITE buy. Plus crysis 2 AND fear 3? A good 6 months for FPS. Come on, doom 4.... we are waiting.....

Absolutely. I just wish the cover art they have slated for the game weren't so misrepresentative of who Duke is. Seriously, it's awful. And doesn't really make sense pose-wise.

I haven't played the early Duke games, but from what I learned from DNF material, Duke is virility personified. That would explain the overtly phallic position of his gun (and the camera angle).

I think he means the faux camera angle. With Duke's position relative to the background it makes it look like he's floating in mid-air at about a 45 degree angle to the ground when they took the "picture". That was the first thing I noticed, too.
And then the position of the woman's hand and arm coupled with that makes it look like he's sitting on her head and leaning way back for the shot.

I think you linked the wrong picture; that's a bad Photoshop that makes him look like a gangsta.

But yeah, the real official box doesn't look as good as previous ones.

No, it was intentional . It was a fan's interpretation of what the cover portrays. It's the first thing I see every time I look at it.

I'm loving the addition of the artbook there! Looks amazing. I'd totally be buying this version on release if that's what we get.

Indeed. it's always good when a company uses humor to it's advantage. I'm really really tempted to get duke nukem, but I'm going to wait a bit. Who wants to bet Gearbox is gonna do more Duke Nukem after this game? I can't imagine them stopping here, at least if this game is decently successful.

Absolutely they'll do more Duke Nukem. They wouldn't have purchased the license from 3D Realms if they had no long-term goals for it. That said, they've said they're not even thinking about another game until DNF is on the shelves. They're not even thinking about add-ons or DLC or anything right now. The focus is just to get DNF as good as possible and out on store shelves.
