The Last Door: Collector’s Edition brings the dark horror and suspense found in the works of authors such as Edgar Allan Poe and H.P. Lovecraft, works which serve as The Game Kitchen’s main inspiration for their unique point-and-click adventure game.

Presented here is part one of a developer’s diary where they talk about these inspirations and of the importance of the use of sound and art to help the player’s imagination extract the most out of their experience.
