I voted that I didn't care, partly because I am torn between yes and no. I have played MoE for several years now and to have and 180 degree turn in how it is played would be a huge gaming shock to me. I didn't like how linear the game play was or how shallow the plot was. There is a lot of room for improvement. I am willing to play anything with the KQ label.  :D

I would rather the remake follow Roberta's intended vision. The final product was not at all what roberta had in mind, and I would like to see the remake be her forgotten vision of KQ8. If there is any way you can incorporate Roberta's original ideas, that would be great. And if you need the details on her original idea, she has stated in some places some things about it, but it's best to talk to her directly. There is a website maintained by Ken Williams somewhere (I forget the name lol) but you can check there for starters.

It would be ideal if it could follow Roberta's intended vision for the game, but if that's not possible I would be fine with it having a different storyline.  Pretty much anything other than MoE's actual storyline would be good, in my opinion.

If it fallowed Raberta's intended version then I would be interested in playing it.

I would suggest you hold on the voice files until get towards the end of of your production. You could make your own and use them as temp files until you get further along. That way if your scripts change you don't have to track down the person again or recast it.

I agree with shades that it's best to wait until the end of the development cycle to begin voice auditions. That way you can have a clearer idea of what will be said specifically and how to fit it into the game. But then again I'm no game development expert...

I agree with Shades as well on how to do voice recording...but I WOULD be interested in auditioning as well.

I would audition but I don't have much to offer lol... I can do the movie guy voice, the valley girl voice, and a salesman type voice (which I actually just used on a school project like two days ago lol...)

My sister is pressuring my and I have caved into her. (I haven't told her yet)  ;D. The only thing that is bothering me is, I am a very shy person. I have trouble making friends because I am so quite. It has taken me a while to warm up to the forum. I firmly believe that there are more talented people on this forum and my chances are slim. Look for me in the end though.

dark-daventry

Don't be so quick to judge yourself. I'm a somewhat shy person also. I don't go out of my way to make new friends and I don't always volunteer for things. But I have some great talent that I didn't realize I had until a little while ago. By exploring who we are we can discover things we never knew about ourselves. You may discover that you could be great at voice-acting. It's by volunteering and putting yourself out there that we can learn these things. I'd say go for it and try your best. You never know what could happen. You may be the best voice-actress the game could have. You'll never know if you don't explore these things. And it's good that you're trying.

You never know what you are capable of until you try. And I truly hope you do. Besides there is nothing to be shy about as you would be siting in your own house recording lines by yourself. You would be surprised how fun it is trying to make different voices. Weather they are accepted or not it can be quite a hoot.  :D

I agree with what Shades just said. You'll be at your house, so nobody will know who you are. I'd definitely go for it.
