Well, to be honest, I'm not going to change my driver b/c new drivers have been known to crash the entire system badly (BSOD and such). I only update drivers when they've been throughly tested for my computer (which is laptop, w/ switchable graphics. This site: http://forum.notebookreview.com/hp-envy-hdx/582545-drivers-ati-5650-6630-hp-envy-14-a.html is the on I go to to check up on that [I have a 2011 model HP Envy 14]), as HP doesn't update on their site for my driver anymore. And the best known driver that still works well is the version 12.4 for my system.

However, I have found that file and attached that (after I tried....and of course, succeed in crashing at the same place again, lol) file. Hopefully, it can provide you w/ some useful info.

Yeah the file it's reporting as missing right when it crashes is definitely included in the game. I'm wondering if maybe there's a goofy installer out there or something. Where did you buy and download the game from?

Might be worth a reinstall of the game then. You'll still be able to use your old saves, I'm just not totally sure what could be causing this missing file issue as I'm 100% positive the file it says isn't there, definitely is included in the installer.

So would you suggest I just redownload it again and THEN reinstall it? Because I've already uninstallled once and reinstalled it from the downloaded installer (.exe) from about a week and it still didn't work.....

Yeah try re-downloading and re-installing from scratch. If that doesn't help then email me directly and I'll try getting you pointed to a different installer altogether and see what we can get figured out.

Hi, I'm working on my review for this game. I've received a Steam code to test it. Love the game so far, but I'm stuck at the exact same place this person is. Right after Erica comes home from the Antique Shop and says I better go see Davies. I can't seem to be able to click on anything. I tried in compatibility mode, yet nothing. Help please!

Try just pressing b on your keyboard at that point, that should get the game responding again. Something I added specifically for this situation.
