The first of a few props we needed looks to be just about ready for rigging.

We've managed to re-export about half of Valanice's current animations. I'm working on dropping some of them in-game. During the other animations, she looks like the attached image.

Animations in general continue at a steady, if slow, pace. I think I'm going to have to go in and work on a few myself. Fill in a few gaps we had at the time.

Would you guys like me to keep up this sort of bite-sized updates? Maybe once a week? Not every week will have big leaps you understand.

Sure.  I would definitely be up for seeing updates.  Whether it's every week, couple weeks, whatever works best.  I'm cool with that.  :)

I think it helps seeing some updates so the fans have an idea of some of the progress being made, but that's just my two cents.

I understand that it must be annoying when you get bombarded with questions and demands, but since I'm a fan myself, I also understand how frustrating it is to wait for something for years and wonder if the designers have forgotten about it. So I think that posting periodic updates is a good compromise. Keep it up!

Update time.
Assuming Director approval, the prop mentioned in the previous update should be finished and ready for rigging.

I have managed to drop about ten of Valanice's and {spoiler}'s animations in-game. These include animations from the re-export set and animations that were made with her current rig (which would break her previous rig if added sooner). We still have a couple dozen animations to re-export but the guy who was helping me with that recently got a new job. I need to poke him this weekend.

I have a few more animations I could drop in, but I'm waiting for one of my animators to finish the one he's working on and then I'll just do the whole scene.

I also have a couple animations I'll be cleaning up but after that I'm a little stuck on things to do. Higher-ups and I need to look at what we have and where to go next. I hate spinning my wheels but maybe a break will let me figure out some life stuff.

Testers... haven't been testing for some reason. I need to go bother them.

Also, the new rig for the winged shoes is almost done. Here, have a pic of shoe.

It has been a long time since checking this forum, and I have to say that I am excited to see progress on the fifth episode. I have been around since the first cease and desist letter but have only watched from the sidelines.

I really like the idea of having an update every couple weeks. The timeframe is not very important, but the lack of information for months used to be a struggle for me (I think I can speak for everyone here). Thank you (and everyone else) for the time you are investing in this project.

I have refused to download the first four episodes because I want to play through them all at once. It's exciting to know that the final episode is still coming along. I look forward to hearing more news.

I'm afraid not. Even if Cedric did manage to fly over to the Isle of the Crown from Daventry, Graham was dropped into the Dreamworld at the end of Episode 4. No easy way to follow him.  ;)

Update:
This week has been mostly bug-fixing. Because thankfully someone was actually testing this week. Some of them are weird, some are expected, and just one is a little worrying. Nothing I or Aaron couldn't fix though.

The shoe mentioned last week is probably finished and the other shoe isn't too far behind.

A couple of modelers updated their work this week. One is upressing and old nemesis and the other is working on another of our previously missing props. It's so lumpy! The prop, not the nemesis.

Animation has slowed a bit due to dependencies. Getting these props ready will let us do a few more game action animations but there's this large section we need to either storyboard or make some directorial decisions on placement, size, etc.

Believe me, if I could simply debug our dependencies, we wouldn't have any. (>_<)
