What was your first KQ?

Ok. It has been a while since I have played King's Quest VII. Does Rosella end up marrying?

Edgar ends up courting Rosella, but they don't marry.

Well, assuming you get the good ending.

So Rosella could have kicked Edgar to the curb and ended up being queen of daventry.

I will be interesting to see how TSL ties all of these loose end together.

My feelings are that Rosella and Edgar get married in TSL, either at the very beginning, or at the very end.

My first KQ's had to be 1-4.

We all had them on the 5 1/4 floppies when I was young, and we tried to beat them, but couldn't.

Later, my dad found the KQ2 Hint Book he had (you know, the crappy ones you had to get the special marker to highlight only the clues you wanted?), and we beat that.  The we found the KQ3 one, but the ink was pretty faded.  So that one took a little longer (I think it's because we didn't see the pattern of the wizards' returns).

KQ6 we cheated on too .  Same with 1 and 5.  Well, who the hell DID figure out 1 without any hints?  And with 5, you were pretty much forced into everything or have to suffer much further into the game for it.

7 was the only one I beat entirely by myself.  Played the chapters out of order, but in the end I got it right.

Hey guys!( and gals!) I was just wondering how you first came to find KQ. For me it was probably about 8 or 9 years ago when my dad was cleaning out our attic/closet and he brought out a big old black box. I looked inside the box and found old games such as civilization, space quest ect..., but a bunch of games caught my eye. I asked my dad what they were and he told me they were KQ games. So after that he put one of them in our computer and showed me, and I since then I have been a fan ever since.

I played the original King's Quest 1 for the IBM PCjr when it came out when I was young.

Mine was King's Quest VI.  My cousin got me into it and I loved it so much I ventured at trying the other Games in the series.  The only one I have never touched is KQVIII
