Hi,
I am not sure if I'm talking to myself here - seeing the posting times and if I were, I wouldn't be surprised................................
because this is by far the buggiest demo (patch 2.0 installed!) I have ever played. It appears when I click in the wrong area that Graham starts spinning and it takes minutes to stop or game freezes altogether. In his list of items every explanation has the word "narrator:" in front of it (minor though). Really bad is Titania's and Oberon's lip synching. Graham picks up the black cloak but actually the cloak is still lying there and Graham lifts nothing at all. The lighthouse by the ferry looks like it can be visited. When I click on it, Graham goes back into town (that's literally the opposite direction). Many, many locations/items have no function or cause bugs when I click. Many are already mentioned here (in 2006!!!!) but have not been removed with the "latest" patch. On the Isle of the Sacred the Green Winged One talks pretty hollow and hard to understand - stupid, because there aren't any subtitles in that scene and so on and so forth.

I must say, I DO understand why this game hasn't got the ok to go ahead. This demo should never have been released yet (and certainly not with several patches that still contain massive errors).

Sorry, pretty disappointed by this fan project. Loved the ones that took care of KQ 1-3 though.

The latest patch was done about two years ago, which is why some of the bugs are still there. What I can tell you is that most of the bugs in the game currently are minor ones. The team is focusing on getting the game ready to send to Vivendi, which is why the demo is still buggy. Which, by the way, the game hasn't been sent to Vivendi yet, so they've not had the chance to give the team to ok to release it.

Well said.  (BTW listen to her, she's a Beta Tester so she has played the game already)
The demo came out in 2006.  The game has acome SO far.  Play the beta tester demo thing (it's got tons of fake bugs in it for the testers to find as a test, but you can still see how it progressed in 2 (?) years)

Also, this game isn't really comparable to the KQ1-3 vga remakes.  Those are 2d, and made in AGS for one, and they are much smaller (not to say they are bad, I loved all of them!!)   This is a huge 3d game that is comparaable to many new games graphically.

I'm tired as I usually am when I post in these types of threads.....  Just happens to be when they come up...
Sorry if I was rude or didn't make sense or something...

I'm sure that once the game comes out, we'll all be so blown away by the story that minor glitches won't matter.

None of the bugs that MorganLeFey mentioned exist in the current build of the game.

Yea it's easy to forget just how much time has passed since the TSL Public Demo came out... my god it's really been 3 years.  The demo as it exists today is more of a quick taste of what the developers had in mind at the time (2006).

While I have not seen the latest build of the game (alas, Poor Yorrick... I knew thee well), I am 100% confident in Yonkey's post that the bugs the OP found are not present in the current build.  In fact... I would go so far as to say I am confident that the current build of the game doesn't even remotely resemble the TSL Public Demo.  A lot can change in 3 years, after all.  :)

The demo is indeed incomparable to the most recent build I have seen. Although I am not a beta tester, I did have the chance to play the beta tester build that was filled with bugs. Just seeing that made it clear how far the game has progressed. Everything in that beta tester build was an enormous improvement over the demo. The graphics were better, the character movement improved, the camera movement improved... Everything about it was better. I am quite excited for the final release, and am absolutely confident that the final game will blow everyone away!!!!!!!!!!!
