Thank you ^^ Yeah- I got the whole series of Get Smart on DVD as a whim cause I'd seen a few episodes and loved them. Get Smart the movie was about to come out so I got them on special, and realized how timeless the humour is ^^ It was really easy to see the cameos as nod to in the movie after watching the series
I actually want to write an RP based off Get Smart. I reckon they'd translate perfectly into a Spirit of the Century campaign ^^
Cool. The movie was actually pretty cool for references. The first time I watched it I felt like it was too different from the series, but the second time when I really thought about it, it was a great movie in itself, and the multitude of references showed that the creators were really thinking about the show's history.
Your Valanice picture was lovely
I'm just about finished KQ7 now (now that I got past the firecracker bug T.T I can't believe I had to RETARD my computer to play a windows game >.> ) so I can appreciate the fanart more now. I was gonna enter the comp too, but maybe next time >.> I've been having health / energy issues lately T.T My influences aren't limited to the meme either
I ran out of room for more
Lol.
Thanks! And "yay" about playing KQ7! That was my first King's Quest, and I had to hunt out the games backward from there (well,, first KQ6, and then the complete collection).
I'm sure there'll be another competition soon--I look forward to seeing your future KQ art!
I looked at the movie as a modern version of it. I mean, you'll never replicate the feel of the 1960s Get Smart ever cause you don't have the same actors and modern humour is different. Doesn't mean it bad, but our humour now is less polite. Our technolgy is better now too, and to do Get Smart justice, it has to be an original plot too. To me, I think they picked the perfect actors for the job, and the movie just has so much in it that I'd call it a modern version

It's hard to directly compare the old and the new.
KQ7 to me was a mixed game. There was alot of stuff I didn't like, and alot I did. I think that if I played it when it came out I would've been more tolerance of the game cause it would've been paced correctly (no bugs based on having a duo core computer >.> ) I would've liked it more, and if Seirra published the game PROPERLY for windows XP it's like it more, but the collected game of KQ1 to 7 was really cheaply put together and it put a strain on game play to me >.> I did enjoy it in the end though. It had some challenging puzzles in it O.O Much more difficult than KQ6! KQ6 is still my (TOTALLY unbias- NOT

) favorite in the series though. I think maybe KQ7 is a reluctant second since finishing it

I see alot of all the games in TSL now that I've played them all

IT's pretty cool. Like watching the modern Get Smart movie
Yeah, I hope there's a new comp soon. Like... in the new year. I'd enter that
