General Info
Finally, after a long period of legal issues going back and forth, we're back on track! The "Unofficial King's Quest IX" became the official game: The Silver Lining. With this great opportunity, comes a ton of new stuff: a brand new revamped website, which includes all sorts of new sections. If you’ve ever missed out on a TSL article or interview, Press Releases is a must to visit. We have a new Present Contest where your entry gets featured on the TSL site and TSL's DeviantArt gallery. Also a whole new Forum design with new smileys. Haven is back! FOU brought along with it the Supah Dupah Almighty Cookie, both original productions of Phoenix Online Studios. And the best of all is that the TSL Album is now fully available! Meet the fans and the majority of the team! We also have two brand new entres in the Journal which discusses events that have taken place from December 2005 to the present, as well an entry about Phoenix Online Studios' first original production. Another very important headline to mention is that the Phoenix Online Studios website is now available! We hope you like the updates so far, we're still working on website improvements, so keep your eyes open for what's next to come!

New Name, New Website!

The new website brings along with it the new direction of the project, a much more detailed portal where you can also find a new section for the Trilogy yet to come. This shows that The Silver Lining team is taking a stride with its official status, even though this whole project still remains without any profit. This is a unique opportunity for us, as well as for anyone that's part of this team; to finally make this dream come true. It's still a long way to go because Parts 2 and 3 are on the go right after Shadows, but even so, we hope that we'll get more opportunities in the future to continue with this project without further problems.
TSL has received a lot MORE attention since way back in October 2005, we've been featured in important portals such as MTV News, GameSpy as well as printed magazines such as Computer Gaming World, Edge Magazine, PC Gamer and PC PowerPlay. For this, I can speak on behalf of the team and say that we're very pleased with the outcome! We had a very hard time just thinking of letting go years of work, but thankfully, we united together and with big help from SaveKQIX, we came to a better situation and eventually a much better outcome.
There's still a long way to go, even though Shadows is around the corner. We're stronger than ever, and for that, we just want to thank you all once again for your unconditional support and amazing effort which kept us always on our feet and never made us want to give up. Thank you guys, for being the reason we're still here.

Future of Phoenix
What everyone wants to know about what's next. |
Phoenix Online Studios was born from the core staff of The Silver Lining Development Team. In this team, you can count the most on the Directors which are: César Bittar, Richard Flores, Petter Holmberg, and obviously myself, as well as our main beloved Assistant Directors: Michael Fortunato, Neil Rodrigues, Katie Hallahan, and Allert van der Leij. In this new approach, POS attempts to continue working regardless of The Silver Lining Game Development, we thrive to become more than just an LLC, rather a people's company, because we consider ourselves the same people who crave for those things we all want in a game, which normal companies never seem to deliver.
TSL has taught us great things, which we plan to consider for future projects. For now, all we can share is the fact that POS has plans to continue, and in 2006 we might be able to foresee the new goodies that POS is holding until we manage to breathe from Shadows’ close deadline. Either way, it's a fact that POS is currently moving into evaluating new proposals, new projects and obviously seriously searching for serious investors to join us in a new adventure to deliver nothing but the best.
This is just some small insight into what's going on, over on this side of Shadows; not the game itself, but the people working day and night behind it. It's been quite a long road for us because we wish nothing but to be committed to this to the point of having TSL as our main source of income, but life happens, so we try to do our best as it comes. That being said, POS is a promising company formed by those individuals that dare to believe in a dream, and want to do as much as they can to make it happen. We will start small of course, TSL is our biggest concern, but we do want to let you all know that TSL is only the beginning for POS. Yet again, there's nothing else to say but thank you, and we hope to have you there with us for good.
