Coming in 2011: the official The Silver Lining Calendar!
To help celebrate TSL all year round, we’re putting together a 12-month calendar for 2011, with screenshots, concept art and sketch art from The Silver Lining! Some of it you’ve seen before, but much of it will be brand new, including a few custom pieces made just for this calendar. And since TSL wouldn’t be here without our great fans, we knew we couldn’t celebrate TSL in 2011 without involving them, too!
We want YOUR submissions to fill up two of the twelve months in our upcoming calendar! We’ve reserved March and July for fan-created art, and we can’t wait to see what you’ll come up with. Here are the guidelines!
The artwork must be related to and featuring characters or settings from The Silver Lining. Original settings are acceptable, so long as they are thematically-related to the settings of the game.
Any style of art is acceptable–digital, hand drawn, a combination of the two, or something else entirely! Get creative!
Preferred formatting: Images should be 3300 wide x 2550 high, and set at a resolution of 300 dpi. Scans of non-digital work should also be at 300 dpi. Preferred file format is JPG or 24-bit PNG. This is so we can get the best quality for the images on the calendar. If you have questions on how to achieve this, please contact us.
Team submissions are acceptable, within the following guidelines: no more than two people per team, and upon submission, the role of each team member in the creation of the piece must be given.
Submit your final designs to contests@postudios.com. Include your forum name when you submit. Submissions may be posted on private sites to be shared with the fans in general on our forums at their creator’s discretion.
Deadline for submitting artwork is Sunday, December 5th at midnight EST. The submissions will be reviewed and finalists chosen by the following day. Fans will vote in the forums for the final two submissions over the next week, concluding on Friday, December 10th.
All finalists will receive copies of the calendar, and our final two winners will have their artwork featured in the calendar as well!
Most importantly, be creative and have fun!
While the calendars will not be available for sale, we will be featuring them as prizes for other contests in the near future. Pictures used in the calendar will become the property of Phoenix Online Studios.
