Just out of curiosity, Cat, is the job a full-time thing for when you finish Grad School, a part-time thing while you study, an internship, a "refusing to leave until they release KQIX and you were there so long they assumed you were an employee and began paying you a salary" thing?

Truthfully, no, I don't work for Vivendi. When sivvrianBARRY said that the Vivendi reps are regulars of the forum (he was being sarcastic), I felt it'd be funny if I (being the Number 1 poster) jokingly said I worked for them

Hey, I haven't been active in this site's forum but I have been following the progress on this project for years. Just had to make a post to share my dissapointment. Still want to see the game <legally> surface as a free product with a promotional screen telling people to live the past adventures by buying the Vivendi package product.

It would be the biggest sales product for the past games.

The issue with that probably is that they don't know exactly WHAT constitutes infringement and what doesn't. If they change certain elements and that doesn't suffice by VU's definitions, they'll have a lawsuit on their hands.

Exactly, so it might be "better" to develope a new game, yet, it's so easy to say yet not so much when it comes to take action, due to the fact of time and that we're all doing this with the spare time some of us don't even have, if some of us are working full time with random obligations, then the rest is dealing with college and whatnot. Noone is getting paid from this project, in fact we somehow finance servers and whatnot, Meaning, we don't want to jump ahead of us at this moment.

Give this time enough to come together, we are not going to get into further troubles about this all we want to do is achieve the best outcome of all this, I hope you all understand that.

Although VU can have lawsuit in their hand, any courts in their right minds will force VU to submit
their work to authorities.

Someone already said that VU access this forum.

In the event that VU tries in manipulate your work as their's, you have their IP address at least and I believe this your biggest advantage!
