Looking at the upcoming POStudios website... I can imagine something... Vivendi Universal will be POS' owner... and POS will be Vivendi Universal's adventure gaming departement/company.

So KQIX will be released under VU/POS' brand POS beeing developper and VU publisher...

Is there any true in what I've just said ?

Interesting idea, Skeptical. If that happens I'll no longer hate Vivendi to the core. At least, not their adventure department.
That's just one agreement vu and pos might settle upon, though, and whatever decision the team makes will be fine by me. It's their game, after all. Great update Say, thanks for keeping us informed, and we trust you guys.

It was supposed to. Depending on if Vivendi and the team come to some type of agreement, it may no longer be freeware. Still, though, I'd pay for it (if it meant I'm paying to receive it in a LEGAL way).

if i had to buy it, i certainly would. heck we bought all the official ones. heh, i just had to make a radio play for my sound class, and i did a little personal venting by making the bad guy a greedy company named Vivaldi. Gosh that felt good.

I know I havent posted here in years. But I do make frequent visits to this site, and to these forums. I havent been a part of the project for a very long time, so I havent felt it was my place to make comments, but here goes.

I'm not a man thats easily touched by emotional attachments. To be honest i'm pretty uncaring and selfish. But this project was something I was very passionate about and to see its cancellation really depresses me. I know how passionate everyone was over this project. Cesar, Rich, Say and countless others, devoted every day, if even just a moment to this game. And I know if I feel devestated by this, that you all must be absolutly crushed. You have my sincere regrets and love. I hope with all thats in me that this project finds some way past these dark days.

I've already sent my own letter and talked a few others into sending them as well. You have my dedication, and as most others here I'm behind you all the way.

As to those that believed this some kind of scam or falsehood, I can assure you that the promotionals you all see on this site are a very VERY small part of this project. There are so many people who have contributed, many came and went, many have been here since the beginning, and ALL cared deeply about it. The work that I witnessed so long ago reflected that dedication. And wether anything comes of that work or not matters very little now, as its small compared to what was really invested here, not money not work, but hearts and souls. This project was a living thing, given to life by all the people that touched it, and I pray it never dies.

My grandfather was one of the original engineers that developed the mouse, and subsequently brought me games from start up companies.  Such began my introduction at the age of 9 with King's Quest.  21 years later I was SO happy to see this project come into fruition. 

I just checked the site again today and I cannot express how sorry I am for all of you and the development team.  What a waste of talent and dreams...

Best of luck with all of your future endeavors...hey maybe this doesn't have to be online...maybe I'll magically see this one day on an anonymous DV rom...   8)  we'll see...

I'd more than happy to buy the game from POS... I'm not sure if I'd be that happy knowing that some money goes to VU...

Any company spending time on adventure game research/development deserves my money. I'm really not sure that VU fits under this category...
