This reminds me of Hugo's House of Horrors, which was also made around 1991 but had simple graphics.  Maybe it was programmed by the same person!

The style is very similar, but AFAIK Hugo's House of Horrors was made by a guy, and this game was made by a girl ('Carol' is a girl's name, right?)

Well... the full name is Mythmaster: A Vagabond's Adventure, but I can't be picky with a game nobody has ever heard of, can I?

This game is really obscure... it only 22 google hits, all from the same 4-5 sites! maybe I'll use it to revive my old obscure games thread... if I can find it, that is
