...almost like a monk's cowl, eh? Well it looks like a wraith or something like that, come to look at it closer, with the red eye thing there, and probably this might be a death scene or a crucial scene in the game.

Basically I have no idea what the game is so I am gonna ask: Is it a game with the word "Quest" in the title? (or is that too much to give away just yet?)

If you like sci-fi, you should hunt down a copy(or the book). I don't consider myself a sci-fi fan, but I thought it was a good book.

I do think I see a sign of some sort behind it though,  so I'm gueesing you stand at a crossroads of some sort, or on a road at least, by a lake.

You are right about it being water and a river... but that sign isn't very readable in the unblurred screenshot either.
