Ok so here is the thing.  So I just want to tell everyone that I don't think I am going to be on here anymore.  I have been waiting long enough for this project to finish as we all have and I honestly don't know what to say anymore.  I guess I don't see a light happening at the end of the tunnel and I wish your team good luck I just think that Vivendi has won now and there seems to be no more hope at all in this project.  By the way why is the Phoenix Online site still offline?  Were you forced to shut it down by VU?  I need a few days to reflect on why VU has done you all wrong.  I suport your team I just am frustrated because all this forum is doing is discussing new names, and not getting any other answers.  I think you all need to shut this site down and open it up again when you have the game ready.

Hey what does the LSA do

Hey i have been reading and talking to people and i have coem to the conclusion that we need to make a deal with vivendi give up or lastly go to court. Heres is the good news though if we pick the jury with lots of kqix fans.... we could win this!!! it all depends on who we chose for the jury!

Ok granted i am a idiot on law and im only working on what friends have told me and waht i've read/seen on tv ! so go ahead and spit me up andchew me out if im wrong (Which i probably am!)

Jury members have to be unbiased and know as little asbout the case as possible. Then there is always the chance that VU can remove ANY jury members they don't think are satisfactional. That basically kills the idea although I don't mean to be harsh.

Im sad you feel that way but it's always your choice to wether stay or go, everyone is free to do whatever they feel is the most convenient.

I'm also sad you think like that, but yet again, that's not true neither I'm legally entitled to provide any further information about this, just yet, so you're on your own with that as well. I do have great hopes on this otherwise I wouldn't still be here myself, neither the team or the fans.

POS has absolutly nothing to do with VU, there is something that comes to my mind right now which is "you can't make everyone happy" so it seems, so we haven't had an oportunity to launch POS officially for being busy with KQIX, and now all of it it's being taken in a different approach, we will launch POS when we believe our next project is ready to go. No further information on that issue, yet.

I suport your team I just am frustrated because all this forum is doing is discussing new names, and not getting any other answers.  I think you all need to shut this site down and open it up again when you have the game ready. 

You will get answers when we can. And I'm sorry, this website is not shutting down whatsoever as far as it goes, and specially not for that reason.

AFAIK, the Phoenix Online Studios site wasn't shut down, since it was never up in the firstplace.

I think you all need to shut this site down and open it up again when you have the game ready.

Why should they? as long as the team thinks there's a chance of continuing the game, why should they ruin with their own hands the site and the community it took them so long to build? It's one thing if the fans themselves lost interest and stopped posting, but as you can see, most of us still like to come here and post about KQIX or anything else while we wait for the final word on the matter... no point closing down something we all enjoy when things aren't decided yet.

Nice movie! Obviously, there are more people than me who find parallells between Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy and our project. Why? Well, if this isn't the LOTR of adventure game fangames, then I don' know what is! Maybe this is the kind of project Peter Jackson might have thrown himself into if he didn't have hundreds of millions of dollars to play around with...

Nah, KQIX is more like Frankenstein.... bringing the dead back to life and hoping it doesn't go mad and kill somebody.

Frankenstein isn't a bad analogy. As fans, we wanted to experience KQIX and escape the gaming community that no longer cares much for adventures, just like the monster wanted a mate with whom he could live away from humans that despised him. When Vivendi sent out the C&D letter, many fans reacted angrily and pledged to boycott Vivendi, just as the monster promised to destroy Frankenstein's life when he refused to complete the monster's mate.

Ok, guys here's what we're going to do: I am posting a petition. What I need EVERYONE to do is print it out and sign it (and please add your city & state/country to the petition...there's not a place for it, so just stick it somewhere around your signature. It will make it "more real" to Vivendi). THEN scan it and email it to me. From there, I will print out each and every signed copy and mail all of them to Vivendi at the same time.

For those nervous about letting everyone know your names, don't worry. You, Vivendi, and myself will be the only ones to see your signatures. If you do not have a scanner, PM me here on the forum and we will work something out...and if you're not a member, email me and I'll get back to you ASAP. Just remember, I'm a graduate student, so give me about 12 hours or so

My wife and I are old hands at the Kings Quest Adventures. and I mean OLD, we have loved them from day 1, I would just like to say that we won a prize ( A Kings Quest Pin ) for getting top points, and we cherish it a lot, over the years we have had a lot of enjoyment from KQ, why did Vivendi have to go and spoil it, to all the people who tried to keep it alive, Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
