I was actually surprised that thread wasn't removed, and took so long for them to lock

hmmm, they must have made progress in their 'response and lockdown' time. I mean, for all we know, it could have lasted 4 years without them knowing anything about it i mean, we're still talking VUgames here

Anyway, I just wanted to use this little opportunity to thank each and every one of you guys for your relentless support (of which some date back from some years ago!)

While we have stopped production on KQIX, we've never been as strong a team as right now. We are basically talking and discussing options almost 24/7 now.

Sure, I have my doubts about Vivendi's approach, but lets look beyond, what can we do with this info to use it in our favor? I mean, besides giving us that awesome moral boost, what good is it to talk nasty things about either Vivendi (which is a frickin' 19th century water company) or KQIX. We are getting, and have moved on to new ideas, so why can't you? I love you guys for sending Vivendi all those letters though, and even setting up a petition (!). Thats great to hear! If not for saving KQIX, tell them they seriously need to rethink their marketing strategies

Anyway, like I said, I can't thank you enough, especially the fans who have been with us from the start of this kqix website.

We'll definately keep you updated.

The kq9 thread at Vugames was not locked because they don't want to hear us, they locked it because of abusive language.  VU is listening to us though, a representative said in the forums:

"Hi all, I can certainly understand the hard feelings here. Let me just say that we value your opinion and I am personalling making sure that this feedback is communicated to those involved.
I will keep you updated."

What will that company think if we all KQIX Fans promise to buy a product of them if they let KQIX live as it always was? I just thought it'll be a good idea if the make some money, not WITH KQIX, but BECAUSE OF IT...

Uh...Vivendi may be idiots but not those kind of idiots! If Pheonix Software did all that they could get in serious trouble! And second of all...put yourselves in jail!!!? That the stupidest thing I ever heard? Unless your joking...but still why the heck would you want them to go to jail?

I don't think striking a comprimise with Vivendi would help. They would like you to buy their poducts, yes. But I think we'd have to do alot more to gain back what was lost...

Heheh, it's true!  Just ask any of my English instructors.

Lots of KQ fans have said that the old text-input games taught them how to spell correctly.  I guess they had to learn fast; typing "kill oger" at the wrong time would have terrible results.
