Well, he mentioned a 2005 system.  Windows 95 was around back when the series was still being made.  And it still ran on DOS.  So I don't see what the point you're trying to make is.

That's also another possibility, to add Ken and Roberta (if they're willing, of course) to the PO Studios team as consultants, and then try to argue that PO Studios owns the intellectual rights to the series, in addition to the faulty trademark thingy.

I've never heard of Vivendi until and it quite possible that something not legal is taking place. That why authorities should get involved!

This kind of thing happens when you work on a IP you dont own.

Whats the need to work using others characters and stories? I think you are smart enough to start a game using YOUR OWN ideas.

I mean, its good that you like king quest, but if you like the genre, go and make a great adventure, not another clone that Vivendi will shut down.

I want to ask.. if I get all your work tomorrow, images, characters, nicknames, webpage, without permision, and I work on a new game and webpage copying all your work, will you like it?

Pedro, it isn't simply a copy, it is a whole new game based the on the Kings quest universe.  That is characters and places are based on kings quest, but the story is new, the graphics and art are new. 
It is a homage by fans to the kings quest series, while it may be that Vivendi owns the IP of the kings quest franchise, this game in no way would take profits from that company, it is free voluntary non commercial work.

I myself never played the original kings quest series, I became interested after seeing fan remakes and free games in a similar vein.  I would have bought the kings quest re-release from Vivendi if they hadn't taken this course of action.

Companies need to realise that fan based projects help draw attention and add to their products, they don't take away revenue.

The developers of this game have put a lot of work into it, and it is not to steal from Vivendi, but to give something back to the community of fans, and for that they should be commended.
